Happy's Story

MEET HAPPY FOSTERED IN ASHEVILLE NC

If you are kind, loving and patient! Happy would love to steal your heart and wiggle her way into your home and hopefully the big people's bed!

Happy is a 12 pound, seven-year-old Shih Tzu mix. They told us she is mixed with poodle, but we see Shih Tzu.

Happy is doing very well on her housetraining. She will have an occasional accident on a potty pad.

Happy was a breeding dog that was released to rescue. She is skittish of men but in time will warm up. She lets her foster dad feeding her or let her outside.

Happy does not like loud noises nor the wind. She is not a fan of the car, but this may be overcome in time as these things are new to her.

Happy loves playing with toys, snuggling and following her foster mom around. She also is playful with other dogs and would definitely benefit with her new family having another dog her size to play with. She loves the yard and would love to sleep in the big bed if she could!

Happy has shown no signs of aggression or resource guarding of any kind. She will walk on a leash.

Happy has not been tested around children. Due to her being skittish. We will require mature/respectful children aged 10 and above.

If you are a patient/loving family or person. Happy is your girl! She is having a dental on 3/13/2026 and will be ready for her new home after her procedure!

We do require vet references, home visit and personal interviews.
