Hansel's Story

Meet Hansel! He is an 8-month-old handsome medium-sized boy, weighing around 35 pounds and still growing, who's ready to find a loving home to call his own. He originally came to us from a shelter in Tennessee, and he's been patiently waiting since 5/1 for his chance at a fresh start.

Hansel is a very sweet guy with a gentle heart. He has been understandably overwhelmed in the shelter environment and may take some time to feel safe and comfortable in new surroundings. Because of this, he will need a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to give him all the time he needs to settle in and build confidence. With kindness and consistency, his loving personality is sure to shine.

We ask that all family members meet Hansel prior to adoption to ensure a good fit. He has done well meeting other dogs here at the shelter, though he may need a little time to warm up. Continued positive socialization and even training classes could be a great way to help him grow into a more confident companion.

Hansel is a wonderful young dog who is just looking for the right person to love him for who he is. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. If you're interested in meeting Hansel or learning more, please reach out to an adoption counselor by phone at (517) 626-6060 or email at adoptions@adoptlansing.org.
