Arrival Story: Waggin’ Tails answered a plea from a shelter to get this girl into rescue because she wasn’t handling shelter life well after being relinquished by her family due to a divorce.
Approximate Age/Weight: 5 years / 85 lbs.

Personality: Hannah arrived at Waggin’ Tails in a pretty stressed state of mind. There was so much change and not much structure in her life, but with help from her foster family and a good trainer, Hannah has made great progress in becoming a confident, balanced dog.

She is a smart girl who was looking for guidance from humans. Hannah is treat motivated and “works” for her meals (stuffed kongs, snufflemat, food puzzles) now. Hannah knows basic commands, is crate-trained, and has great house manners.

Silly, playful, and will never turn down a good game of fetch, Hannah will be happy to curl up with you afterwards for a nap on the couch. Hannah is friendly, affectionate, and enjoys chewing on toys, but never anything inappropriate.

Our fun girl enjoys swimming, boating and drinking from a garden hose on a hot day. Walks make her happy, and she has now learned to check in with eye contact while walking. Hannah can be cautious of newly introduced things in her life. She will thrive in a structured (but not rigid) home environment where she knows what the routine is.

Forever Home: Hannah is a beautiful dog who won over her foster family immediately. She would do best in a low-key home, but would love to be part of a family who will teach her new things as she is a smarty pants. She enjoys interacting with humans and will want to be near you. Hannah has great house manners and knows to wait at doors, gates and stairs.

Hannah gets along with and enjoys walking with her male canine housemate, but can be selective when it comes to other dogs. We know Hannah would prefer to have you all to herself! Due to Hannah's size, a family with older children suits her best.

Fenced yard only. No invisible fences, please.
