Hank's Story

We are completely drawing a blank on why Hank hasn't found his forever home yet! This handsome, 6-year-old, 70-pound Pit Bull mix is a sweet boy who spent his whole life with a loving family. However, when the family grew and a new baby arrived, Hank found the busy environment a bit too stressful. Because he bonds so deeply with his person(s), he thrives when he can be the center of attention, and he is now looking for a slightly quieter home where he can be the star of the show.

Hank is fully potty trained, sits politely for treats, and would love to join you on the couch. He likes to curl up right next to you for ear scratches, chew on bones, and snack on fresh fruits. He also loves trying to catch frisbees (heavy emphasis on the trying).

While Hank can be a bit shy or wary when meeting strangers for the first time, he warms up quickly once he knows you. To help him feel his best, he is looking for a quieter home environment where he can get plenty of dedicated attention. He would thrive as an only pet, but he could also happily coexist with a female dog, cats, or older, calmer children.

Hank is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccines. You can visit him at the shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM or Sundays from 12:00 to 5:00 PM.
