Meet Hank and Hunter
Hank (5 YO) and Hunter (4 YO) are a bonded pair of chocolate labs who came to us after their prior owner lost her home, and family was unable to keep them. These handsome boys were just neutered and chipped. They are medium sized, weighing about 55-60 pounds.
Hank and Hunter are very friendly and affectionate dogs who will make a fantastic, loyal and loving addition for a lucky family! They pretty quickly learned the routine of their foster home. They are not currently crated, but the prior owner indicated they were crate trained as puppies. At night they sleep together gated into our master bathroom, and are quiet all night and wait patiently for us to get up and let them out in the morning. They haven’t been left alone for any longer periods during their stay so far. They don’t jump on people.
They both love giving kisses and getting affection from people (Hank especially is happy to give you his belly for a rub) and like to cuddle. They greet new people we meet on walks like long lost friends. They have discovered the toy box, and particularly like tug ropes, tennis balls and stuffed toys. They also enjoy chasing each other around the back yard. A fenced yard would be nice for them, but not essential. They walk very well using a harness, and love getting long walks.
While they don’t currently live with another dog or cat in their foster home, at their prior home they lived with 3 dogs and 2 cats, and were said to get along with them all, though might chase the cat to play, but were not aggressive with them.
Hank and Hunter like to know what you are doing when you get up and move around, but when you are busy doing something that doesn’t involve them, they are happy to lay on their beds and snooze, so they are pretty good home office companions.
They would benefit from a family that has plenty of affection to give, and that likes to take walks and will give them a chance to explore. While in foster care, as they have settled in we are seeing their a sweet and loving personalities emerging so we're sure they will do great at a new home with the right family.
