Hank's Story

Young, goofy, and finally showing his better side

Hank is one of those dogs who looks a lot better once he's out of the kennel and able to breathe a little. He's a young, playful guy with a goofy streak, good leash skills, and a real soft spot for tennis balls. Lately, he's been showing just how much progress he's made--walking nicely, taking treats gently, and handling time outside much better than he did when he first arrived.

Early on, Hank was overwhelmed and pretty messy in the kennel, with a lot of leash biting and over-the-top behavior during transitions. That has improved a lot. He now settles quickly, knows "sit," enjoys attention, and has been described as making a full turnaround in his impulse control. He still may get a little worked up when it's time to go back into the kennel, but outside of that environment he comes across as friendly, manageable, and fun.

Hank would likely do best with someone who will keep him active, give him structure, and let him keep using his brain. If you want a young dog with personality, progress, and a lot of upside, come meet Hank.We are open to the public Tuesday - Sunday (1PM - 5PM)! No Appointments required!
