Hank's Story

Meet Hank! He is an approx 8-yrs-old, 9-lb schnauzer mix. Hank is incredibly sweet and gentle. He loves people and does well with cats and some dogs (he will guard his food, so he will need to be fed separately from other pets).

Hank is happiest curled up on someone's lap or sleeping beside his person. He enjoys short, leisurely walks but does not need much exercise. He would thrive in a calm home with someone who wants a devoted little companion nearby throughout the day. A retiree, someone who works from home, or anyone looking for a professional lap warmer could be a wonderful match.

Hank appears to have had some house-training. He prefers to go outside but still has occasional accidents as he settles into a routine. He does have an eye condition that will require daily medicated eye drops, so his adopter must be willing to give those to him and have the finances to support that.

Hank's favorite things:
Grated cheese, ear rubs, short walks, stealing cat food, sleeping in bed with his person, and being a full-time couch potato.

Hank's least favorite things:
Wet grass touching his paws, baths, and sleeping alone.

He has just been neutered and got his teeth cleaned up!

Hank deserves a safe, peaceful home where he can spend the rest of his life being cherished. Adopting a friend is saving a life. That's how important it is. All of our animals are spayed or neutered. They have had their shots and have been in foster care so we can tell you some things about them. The adoption fee is $300 and this covers their medical expenses and helps us to continue to take in homeless and abused dogs.
