Han Solo English Setter Dallas, TX

Meet SWESR’s sweet pocket senior, Han Solo. This loveable senior Setter is about 12 years old and hasn’t had the easiest life. Han’s life has taken a turn for the better since being rescued by SWESR. He’s now living in a loving foster home, getting along well with his foster dog companions, and even patrolling his new yard looking for birds and squirrels.

Han needs a fenced yard that he can explore at his leisure and he will let you know when he is ready to come inside. He has a low prey drive and no interest in challenging a 4-foot fence. So far, Han has shown little prey drive, so he may be a candidate for a home with inside cats.

Han is a quiet boy who may have some hearing loss, but that doesn’t keep him from being a wonderful companion. We have not had him in a home with children and we think he would prefer a quieter home with adults and possibly older children that would be gentle and not expect him to play and entertain them. He loves human attention and is a seriously “hands on” kind of Setter who enjoys lots of petting, lap time and massages. He has very few demands other than lots of love and a warm bed.

Han is house trained, crate trained, fully vetted, and currently in a foster home in Dallas TX. He is a candidate to adopt or furever foster where SWESR provides for his ongoing medical needs. He is not a candidate for flying or a volunteer transport that is more than a days drive away.
