Hammer's Story
It's hammer time!

Hammer is an 11mo terrier mystery mix that was dumped creekside in Oklahoma along with his siblings. He is just north of 20lbs and not expected to get any bigger - so what you see is what you get!

Because of how hammer began his life, he can take a few days to truly come out of his shell. But all he wants is to love & be loved. With praise and sweet talk, he'll come to you with his tail wagging and ready to give you all of his precious little kisses.

His playful side is slowly but surely coming out, and would do best in a quieter home with a moderate-energy fur sibling of similar size. Sudden or loud movements can startle him, but all he needs is for you let him know he's safe.

Hammer is more motivated by love than by food, but is slowly learning to love treats!

To make matters even better, Hammer is fully potty trained and sleeps through the night in his kennel. But boy, does he love those morning cuddles!

Good to Know:

Dogs: Yes
Cats: Unsure, likely yes
Kids: Would do best in a quieter home, with older kids

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt
