Hamlet is ready to find his forever home!!!

Hamlet is a one year old Chihuahua, and is what we call a "dog's dog". He loves other dogs and tolerates his people. Don't get us wrong, his favorite people are men. He's a good pup that just needs time to warm up to his new life and family. A new home with folks with patience would be perfect for him. He likes some women, but from what his foster family has seen, would prefer a home with men and dogs. We aren't sure how he would do with cats.

He will sleep on your bed or in a comfy bed in his kennel. He also will not potty in the house if given the chance to go outside enough throughout the day.

We cannot stress this enough... Out of everything on this planet, Hamlet loves other dogs and will play with Schnauzers to Great Danes. He loves creatures of the K-9 type!

He came to UAAF from California with limited background information. We aren't sure about his past, but can only guess that he didn't get much socialization with humans as he grew up.

If you decide to give him a chance, Hamlet is a funny guy to watch. He is a good dog that wants affection, but only on his terms. We must say that he should go to a loving and patient family, including at least one doggy friend and a male presence. He does not do well with small children.

Hamlet has been neutered, current on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworm and also micro chipped.

You can visit Hamlet at the Canyon Rim Petsmart (3191 E. 3300 S.) the first Saturday of every month from 11-4 pm. Then at the Petsmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the second Saturday of every month from 11-4 pm.
