Halo is a 4-year-old Pit Bull mix who is proof that sometimes the quietest dogs have the biggest personalities hiding underneath. When she first arrived at the shelter with another female dog, she was extremely shy and unsure of the world around her. Since then, her friend has been adopted, and Halo has been bravely learning how to navigate life on her own. Every day, Halo gets a little bolder. She can still startle easily and would do best in a quieter home without children, but once she feels comfortable, her fun side comes bursting out. And by bursting out, we mean zooming around the play yard like she's auditioning for the role of Backyard Tornado. Halo is a huge fan of toys, especially squeaky balls. If a squeaker is involved, Halo is interested. She'll happily zoom, chase, play, and then stop long enough to hand out some sweet kisses before getting back to business.She's shown friendly, dog-social vibes through the fence with multiple dogs at the shelter, but a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit with any future canine roommates. Halo's previous owner had to move out of state and could not take her along. They reported that she was housebroken, crate trained, loved car rides, had obedience training, and was not an escape artist. In other words, she's already got a lot of the important life skills figured out.
