Halo's Story

Meet Halo. Halo has had a rough life to be just 2 years of age. We are unsure what her past may have looked like, but she shows signs of distrust, anxiety and caution. Though Halo is 41lbs of pure scaredy cat, Halo has been slowly showing off her bravery over these last few months. She is still scared of new faces but with a little patience and reassurance she has made a few friends with the staff/volunteers. Though she has not yet shown interest in taking walks, she is showing a lot of interest in the playpen and loves playing with her newfound friends. This suggesting that she is in need of a fenced in yard. Now do not let her shy nature deter you for being interested, If anything we ask that you think hard about the positive repercussions your kindness, patience, loyalty and love could bring to a dog like Halo. Halo is unsure how to be a dog, how to accept all the above listed, but with time and consistency she could learn to be the dog she is meant to be. She just needs a little help figuring out how. Halo deserves to find her forever home, and we hope with a little help from you we can do just that!
Halo is located at our rescue facility - 242 George II HWY, Winnabow NC 28479
We are open Tues-Sat 10am-2pm.
No appointment necessary.
Check out our adoption process on our website!

https://pawsplace.org/dogs/

Paws Place Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our adoption process can take anywhere from 5-10 days. We require that you meet the dog in person before submitting an application. If you have had a previous dog in the past 5 years we do a veterinary reference check to see consistency of care. If you have a current dog we arrange a dog introduction. After the above steps are completed we set up a home visit to see where the dog will be living. The final step is the completion of the adoption agreement
