Hailey's Story

Meet Hailey! Hailey, affectionately nicknamed Lele, is a 4-years-11-months-old 35-lb Shepherd mix with a bright mind, a loyal heart, and a big personality.

Her superpowers include her exceptional intuition and communication skills-she's one of the most communicative dogs her foster has ever cared for. Lele is house-trained, leash-trained, and knows basic commands like sit, stay, lay down, and shake. She also excels with recall and will come to her foster every single time, even in distracting environments. She thrives on routine and structure, needing two active play or exercise sessions each day-and once her energy is out, she's content to relax or nap until the next one.

Lele adores children and would thrive in a home with kids who can shower her with attention and playtime. She's gentle, patient, and intuitive around little ones, making her a truly ideal family dog.

Lele has an incredibly warm and outgoing personality-she thrives on human connection and is always eager to make new friends. Her charm is undeniable: she'll joyfully greet people by rubbing against their legs like a cat before flopping onto her back for belly rubs. Her quirky, affectionate greetings never fail to amuse, making her a wonderful match for adopters seeking a social, engaging, and delightfully spirited companion.

Hailey is currently being fostered in Elizabeth, NJ and her adoption fee is $425. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
To adopt a pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our dogs and cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations (including rabies), microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any medical issues identified during veterinary examinations. Dogs are also heartworm negative and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. The adoption fee helps cover these services and supports our ongoing rescue work. Please note that our pets come from shelters, so we cannot guarantee age, breed, mix of breeds, or adult size. To learn more about adoption fees and the process, please complete our adoption application at https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt . Applications allow us to understand your household and assess whether a pet is a good match. An application does not obligate you to adopt and can be applied to any pet. Due to high demand, not all applicants may be contacted; if your application is a good fit for the pet you’re interested in—or another pet—a volunteer will reach out as soon as possible. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a shelter location. To see animals in person, please visit our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album and check event times and locations, as not all animals attend every adoption event.
