Hagen - MA's Story

Hagen

Breed: Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Age: 2y+/-, Male
Weight: 45 pds
Medical: UTD on all vaccines, Neutered, microchipped
Cat Friendly: No
Dog Friendly: Yes; but dog selective
Kid Friendly: Unknown, Recommending Ages 12+
Crate Trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes
Location: Cape Cod, MA

Hagen is a confident youngest for a cattle dog around new people. He is open to meeting both people and exploring new environments. His one negative is that he does like to bark, especially when he needs to go the bathroom or hears loud noises or other dogs going out. He is very playful, and recently started showing interest in toys and he LOVES to steal things when you’re not looking and run away with them (paper towel, broom, duster, etc). His name should be changed to Bandit, LOL!

He is dog selective and is has some fear reactivity when leashed and/orconfined in crate but it’s very manageable. Hagen is a pup that still has a lot of learning to do as he came from a backyard breeder only to be dumped in a high kill shelter. He needs a family that will give him love and understand, along with training that that would help build his confidence to help him adjust to his new life and build upon the strengths that he has!

If you are interested in adopting, please click at the link below:
CRNE Adoption Application:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rjvYvkyGRug-gnCPcHFB49ksrZlQNlYQddGnkoVvNNA/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1Z3LWcB1HW2pncs-N64t1xdlD6Fm9P137xk6MErsLOE4ObXQ9erCAk-nM&edit_requested=true

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own.
