Gypsy's Story

Say hello to Gypsy, our spirited 2-year-old red husky. With his stunning looks and vibrant personality, he’s ready to take you on the journey of a lifetime!

Gypsy was an abandoned dog living on the streets for about 6 months before we rescued him. He knows home and family, but he also knows lonliness and struggle. It is incredible to see how sweet his spirit still is after going through the most heart-breaking loss. You would never know he has known pain- he radiates love and joy.

Why You’ll Love Gypsy:

Free Spirit: Just like his name suggests, Gypsy is all about fun and exploration! Whether it’s a walk around the block or a hike up a mountain, he’s ready to be your adventure buddy.

Social Butterfly in Training: Gypsy is selective with other dogs. He can do well with proper introductions and does looove the ladies.

Playtime King: Fetch? Check! Tug-of-war? You bet! Gypsy’s always up for a game and has the energy to keep it going! He loves every single toy on the face of the planet. He takes nothing for granted and loves all toys equally. He might not be the best at sharing though after having to fend for himself for so long.

Gypsy is looking for an active family who can keep up with his playful spirit. If you’re ready for some fun and love, he’s your guy!

Gypsy's adoption fee includes:

Vaccinations:
- Rabies
- Leptospirosis
- Distemper
- Infectious Hepatitis/Adenovirus
- Parvovirus
- Parainfluenza
- Lyme

Bloodwork: Testing for heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma

Deworming

Spay/Neuter

Microchipping

If a dog required any other vet treatment or surgery while in our care, this is also included in the adoption fee. All known medical information is explained prior to adoption.

All of our dogs come with a leash, collar, toy and a small bag of kibble.

At Nakoma Rescue, we put a lot of work, time, care and love into each one of these dogs. They are treated like one of our own. We are open and transparent about the dogs in our care. We want each adoption to be the right fit, for both the owners and the dog.
