Gus's Story

Meet Gus!

If you love the classic look of a Pitbull, then you’ll be in awe of Gus, he is truly a strikingly handsome boy. But what makes Gus even more special than his looks is his loyal heart and his devotion to the people he loves.

Gus would thrive in a family with children 8 years or older, especially kids who are dog savvy and respectful. He currently lives with two children in his foster home and is wonderful with them, proving himself both playful and gentle. While Gus enjoys canine companionship, he does best with easygoing, happy go lucky dogs but would also be perfectly content as the only pet in the home. His true joy is being close to his family.

Gus forms especially strong bonds with women and has an incredible natural instinct to protect and watch over his people. He is smart, eager to please, and always aware of his surroundings. These traits make him an excellent natural guardian and personal protector.

This boy is kennel trained, house trained, and even has good leash manners. He already knows a few basic commands, loves food and toys, and is happiest when given a job or task to focus on. While he’s comfortable in his crate, Gus does best when he has plenty of quality time with his family, as too much separation can cause him to feel anxious.

Gus is heartworm positive but is currently undergoing treatment and doing well. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and on monthly preventatives to keep him healthy moving forward.

With his intelligence, loyalty, and strong protective instincts, Gus is looking for a family who will appreciate not only his handsome appearance but also the deep devotion and love he brings to his people.
