Gus's Story
Meet Gus!

Gus is a handsome Australian Shepherd mix born on February 16, 2024, weighing approximately 60 pounds. He is currently in Tennessee and is available for both foster and adoption while he waits for his trip north.

A little over six months ago, Gus was found living on a chain without shelter. Despite that difficult beginning, he hasn't let his past define him. Today, Gus is a happy, affectionate boy who is ready to leave that chapter behind and start the life he's always deserved.

Gus has a wonderful temperament and has been doing great with all of the dogs at our Tennessee rescue. He enjoys being around people, has a friendly personality, and would make a wonderful companion for a family looking for a loyal, loving dog. He has also done well with children. His compatibility with cats is unknown.

Gus has a moderate energy level, making him a great match for a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and spending time together. Like any dog adjusting to a new home, he'll benefit from continued guidance and a consistent routine as he settles in.

Gus has been successfully treated for heartworm and is feeling great. He also has some dental damage from his previous living conditions, and we will be addressing that before adoption by removing two damaged lower canine teeth. Once that's behind him, he'll be ready to enjoy all the toys, treats, and smiles that come with being a cherished family member.

Gus has already proven how resilient he is. Now all he needs is someone willing to give him the loving home he's waited so patiently for.

All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and on preventatives.

For more information, visit our website: https://buddyandfriendsma.org

To be considered, an application must be submitted at: https://buddyandfriendsma.org/adopt

MA License Number: 52
