He's met children, cats, and other dogs and gets along well with everyone.<br/><br/>We're looking for a special family for Gus - one with experience with herding breeds who understands their unique energy and drive. While Gus is generally a calm companion, he does need understanding and training to help him manage his excitement and reactions to external stimuli, especially when there's a barrier like a fence.<br/><br/>Gus will need a home with suitable space to run, whether it's a securely fenced yard or room for long-line training until his recall is solid. His ideal family will appreciate his need for mental and physical engagement, helping him live his happiest, most fulfilled life.<br/><br/>If you have the herding breed experience, the understanding for a dog with special sensory needs, and the space for this wonderful boy to thrive, Gus can't wait to meet you! He's a truly nice dog who adores his humans and canine friends alike.<br/><br/>Gus' adoption fee is $400 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care. <br/>We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility.
