When he first meets you, he’ll hang back and quietly decide whether you can be trusted enough to join his very exclusive circle of friends. He can be adorably awkward about it at first, almost as though he isn’t quite sure what he’s supposed to do with all that love. But he wants it, he’s learning to accept it, and watching him begin to relax and soak it in makes earning his trust that much sweeter.

Quick Facts

Sweet Chihuahua mix
❤ï ̧ Shy and cautious when meeting new people
Incredibly loving once he feels safe
Gets along well with other dogs
An observer who likes to take his time getting to know you
Learning how wonderful affection can be
⭐ Easy to please and deeply loyal
A true diamond in the rough
Looking for a patient person who will let him blossom at his own pace
Located in Southern California.

Gus isn’t the dog who will necessarily choose you in the first five minutes—and that’s part of what makes being chosen by him so special.
