Gus's Story

Gus is a 6 year old Cockapoo who somehow packs an entire universe of love into his 8 pounds. Tiny gentleman. Professional sidekick. Full time heart throb. This is Gus.

Gus has been an honorary member of the Kindness family for a long time. One of our board members was dear friends with his mom, and he was deeply loved. When she sadly lost her battle with cancer, Gus officially joined the K9 Kindness family. While his heart has known loss, it has also known enormous love and he’s ready to share that love again. Gus’s former mom is hoping he will be able to continue visiting senior living facilities and spreading joy with his new family.

Gus is looking for a home where someone is around a lot. His absolute favorite place in the world is wherever his person is. He loves car rides, little adventures, toys, and being included in everyday life. Grocery run? He volunteers. Nap on the couch? Already there. Emotional support during TV time? Certified expert.

He doesn’t need a big life, just a close one. A calm home, a warm lap, and a human who understands that the best things sometimes come in very small, very fluffy packages. Gus will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to keep his soft curls looking their best.

Gus is ready to be your shadow, your copilot, and your tiny ambassador of joy. Gus is neutered, current on vaccines and prevention, and microchipped. He has recently had a dental as well. Gus’s adoption fee is $300. To meet Gus, please submit an application at www.k9kindnessrescue.org/adopt. As a reminder, we are not a shelter location and require a scheduled meet and greet.

Adopters must live within 175 miles of the Quad Cities. All pets currently in the home must be routinely kept up to date on shots, prevention and fixed to be approved for adoption.
