Despite a rough start in life, he has blossomed into a loving companion.<br/><br/>Personality:<br/><br/>Affectionate and playful<br/>Loves to eat<br/>Energetic, enjoys outdoor activity<br/>Smart and alert – responds to e-collar training<br/>Can be a digger and jumper when unsupervised<br/><br/>Living Situation:<br/><br/>Currently kenneled at night<br/>Has access to the yard during the day<br/>Previously lived chained up, now fully enjoys freedom<br/><br/>Compatibility:<br/><br/>Dogs: Gets along well with other dogs, very friendly<br/>Cats: Tolerates and sometimes wants to play<br/>Children: Excellent with kids, no issues reported<br/><br/>Special Considerations:<br/><br/>Gunner was underweight and treated for Lyme disease in 2023; healthy since<br/>He was initially gun-shy but has adapted to hunting and can track birds well, but he may choose whether or not to hunt on any given day<br/>Fence jumper – needs supervision when outside; has jumped a 5 ft chain link fence for fun<br/>No separation anxiety or bite history<br/><br/>Ideal Foster Home:<br/>Gunner needs a home where he will be supervised outdoors and given plenty of attention and exercise.
