Gunner's Story

eet Gunner — a resilient Lab mix with a goofy, playful spirit and a heart full of love 🐶💙
Gunner came into rescue last October after being dumped at a friend’s daughter’s house, underweight and with a bite wound on his hip. Since then, he’s received his vaccinations, been neutered, and has made an amazing recovery.
Today, Gunner is affectionate, athletic, and full of enthusiasm for life. He truly lives to play and brings a whole lot of joy wherever he goes. He’s food-motivated (great for continued training!), confident, curious, and a total goofball.
Gunner walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and fully house trained. He also knows basic commands like sit and stay. He does well with other dogs and currently lives with five of them. It may take him a couple of days to warm up to some dogs, but once he settles in, he’s just fine — likely due to his past experience with being bitten.
Gunner is ready for a loving forever home where he can keep playing, learning, and being the happy boy he is.
