Gunner will be featured at the upcoming adoption event at the PetSmart store at Little Mack and 13-Mile Rd. in Roseville on Sunday May 6th! This dog and other dogs and puppies will be at the Roseville store for ONE DAY ONLY, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. These animals are unavailable for early viewing. Dogs will be adopted on a first-come basis--arrive early for best selection. Please note that due to the volume of calls on these adoptable dogs, we are unable to answer specific questions about them in advance.<br/><br/>Gunner is a Great Guy! Gunner is a 4 and 1/2-Year-Old Foxhound mix. He weighs 45 pounds and he is full grown. Gunner is kind of an independent fellow who can be slow to warm up so please give him some time to adjust. He does have lots of energy and will follow his nose so he do best with a fenced in yard or stationary tie out and microchipping is highly recommended! Gunner would do best in a home with children 7 and older due to his independence. Gunner would prefer to be the only dog in his home, however, if an adopter does have a dog they must met prior to adoption. The adoption fee includes sterilization surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, a basic medical exam, behavior assessment, heartworm test, fecal test, and one free office visit within 10 days post adoption if required (cost of treatment not included). <br/><br/>Adoption Details! Gunner's adoption fee is $175. The adoption fee includes the sterilization (already done), MHS identification tag, fecal test and worming, age-appropriate vaccinations (including Distemper/Parvo, Rabies and Bordatella), heartworm test and one free office visit at an MHS vet center within 10 days post adoption if needed for illness (cost of treatment not included). The 30-day free health insurance policy is also available. <br/><br/>Adopters must be prepared to provide or purchase a sturdy leash and collar for their new pet, plus a crate for housetraining, if needed. Positive obedience training classes are recommended for all dogs. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age. Bring along a valid photo identification card showing current address. If you have other dogs in your home, please bring them along to help ensure a good match. The same goes for children--all are welcome at the event. Please allow one to two hours for the adoption process. See you this Friday!
