Gummy's Story
Gummys a 2yo 9lb Terrier mix. Shes dog friendly. Shes housebroken when kept on a schedule and crate trained. Shed be good in a secure fenced in yard along with going on harness leashed walks. She loves to play with toys, all toys, any toy and enjoys playing fetch. Once she warms up and gets used to her new environment, she loves to be close to her people. Shes very affectionate, gives great kisses and will follow her people around and throw herself on to her back for belly rubs if you stop for even a moment. She also loves to watch the comings and goings of the neighborhood so access to a window would be ideal. She was initially a picky eater but has learned to love blueberries, strawberries and bananas but is still a hard NO on carrots. She prefers to sleep in bed with her person and is good about sleeping thru the night. She does not like to be in her crate especially if she knows you are home.

Gummys foster requires a home, where someone is home often, so not to be left for long periods of time, be allowed on the furniture to cuddle with her people, another playful dog and/or people to play with her along with leadership, consistency, structure and to continue working on training. If your home DOES NOT meet these requirements please DO NOT put an application in. We will not call anyone whose home does not meet the needed requirements. Also, we will be concentrating on local to foster applications 1st since home checks and meets with all humans and animals in home is needed at meet. Our fosters are all volunteers so arent always able to travel too far.

Gummy as all dogs should have at least 2 weeks in their new home with just their people who live in the home and to not have people over for at least 2 weeks. Dogs need time to settle in and adjust to their new people and environment first so they can learn to trust them first.

Gummys spayed, vaccinated, HW negative and microchipped. Currently in Collingswood, NJ. If your home meets the needed requirements and youre interested in applying to adopt please do so at www.tprescue.org
