GuacaMolly's Story

Do you need something to heat up your cold winter days? We have the dog for you! Meet GuacaMolly, the spiciest North Paw Pepper, er, Pupper.

GuacaMolly has been with us a long time. A very long time. Some might say too long…We started to get heartburn from all the spice, but when the flavors meld she’s actually quite sweet. We love Guac, and want to share our one of a kind recipe with someone who truly appreciates the level of spice she brings to every day life.

You may wonder why we refer to this sweet looking dog as spicy. Well. Sometimes you make guacamole. Mash up your avocado. Add some lime. Add some jalapeños and some onions. Sometimes it turns out exactly as intended. But sometimes? The guacamole is much spicier than anticipated. Some rescue dogs are like that too. You think you'll have a nice mild flavor but you get extra spicy instead. You just never know with a rescue dog exactly what ingredients went into the recipe! GuacaMolly is a spicy dog. Not too hot to handle but definitely not the best choice for someone unused to spice! You have to build up a tolerance to spice in food and in dogs.

She's a loyal girl, loves her people, but she wants adventure and sometimes that means she becomes an escape artist. Sometimes you purchase some guacamole and you get the expected flavors. Sometimes there’s stuff in there you are shocked by. Sort of like how we were shocked by GuacaMolly’s ability to clear fences. Jumping we expected. She’s part Jack Russell, and an athlete, after all. GuacaMolly loves a good game day. Being the athlete that she is, she is especially fond of fetch and is an excellent teammate-always bringing the ball back to who threw it. The fence scaling was a big surprise though. She will need a fence that is at least 5 or 6 feet high in her forever home. Maybe she's just really into parkour. It's hard to know. But maybe consider putting this dog in agility classes?

You know how guacamole sometimes tastes better if you give the flavors time to properly meld? GuacaMolly, like many dogs, needs time and patience when meeting new dog friends. She can do it! She has several four-legged friends, and in fact just made a new friend just last week…but unfortunately she still hasn't met a friend named Chips or one named Margarita. Because of her spiciness, GuacaMolly wears a muzzle for initial interactions with new dogs to keep everyone safe and happy. With proper introductions, she doesn’t need to wear the muzzle for long. Her spice level is a bit much for smaller children, too, so she’ll do best in a home either without children or with older children who can keep up with her without getting her overexcited.

Think this side dish would go well with your family?
