Meet Griswold!

Hello, Griswold here. I'm a retired old guy looking for a companion. Open-minded, couples are welcome.

I consider myself a simple guy, I have my own place (crate) and transportation (foster mom). I'm super efficient. When I wake up, you take me out and I’ll do ALL my business, none of that 'go potty" baby voice nonsense. We go out, I do what needs to be done, I watch you pick it up, and we’re having coffee in 90 seconds.

Tired of demanding partners? Call me and sample the benefits of aching joints and extremely satisfying 10 minute walks.

Are you tired of dogs that bark at the vacuum? No problem, I’m 100% deaf. Won’t even hear ya when you trip over the cable.

I love me some humans so I’m temporarily sharing a studio with 2 ladies. They keep my belly full and slip me some old man meds and supplements, an evening cocktail.

Hit me up and let’s see where life take us!

And now, a word from my foster family:

Griswold is a sweet senior boy we saved from a high kill shelter in the nick of time. He was named after the main character from the Christmas Vacation movie because he was scheduled by the shelter to be put down (for no reason) on Christmas Eve. He is our Christmas miracle!

Poor Gris was not cared for - he has not lived YET... but he is so resilient. He has held on and has come out of his rough life into this new chapter with boundless love and affection for all people, families, and kids. He's just an absolute love bug.

Gris is in good health for a senior guy. When we rescued him, he had several masses and skin tags on his body that we had removed. The vet told us these were the result of being left out in the sun for years with no shade. He is cancer-free and our vet says Gris has at lots of life left to live!

He loves people. He loves to be near people, around people, and even just looking at people! He follows us around and watches us do our chores around the house, it's adorable. He probably had a family of his own once - poor guy.

Gris gets around really well, he loves to go outside despite the arthritis in his leg. The vet said this injury was caused by an old leg break that was never treated and that was left to heal on its own. :( He is also deaf, but that doesn't seem to bother him. He responds great to the hand signals we use with him. We're happy to pass along what we've learned to helps Gris live his best life.

Gris sometimes gets anxious around other dogs, so he'll do better as an only dog. He will shower you with kisses (that's his thing), and follow you around everywhere helping you around the house and at whatever task you have at hand! He just wants to hang out with you all day and curl up and laze around with you in the evening.

Gris just needs the love of someone who wants to give a sweet old guy a second chance. Are you his person?
