Introducing Grimswick! <br/><br/>CAUTION: MUST LOVE FUR, DOG HUGS, and DROOL!<br/>Grimswick is a big boy with a puppy’s heart, playful, wiggly, and full of joy. He does happy hops when he’s excited and greets you with full body wiggles that are impossible not to smile at. In typical Akita fashion he loves cold weather and playing in snow. He will bound through the biggest snow drifts and then lean into you for scratches and ear rubs. He still functions in warmer weather, but appreciates AC and cold water, and who doesn't with Ohio's humidity. He also enjoys being brushed which is good because he's 95 pounds and 98% fur. <br/><br/>Food is his love language, and he’s never met a treat he didn’t adore. When he first got here he'd get so excited about a milkbone your whole hand would disappear into his maw, but we are pleased to announce that he has learned to just use his lips to take a treat. He is also house trained and knows sit. <br/><br/>Approximate Birth Date - 09/15/2022<br/><br/>Other animals- He really seems to enjoy playing with other dogs. We're not sure about cats, but with an appropriate slow introduction and as long as the cats have places to hide we think he could peacefully co-exist. <br/><br/>Kids- We think he'd really enjoy having kids to play with as long as they're down with his doggy breath and enthusiasm.<br/><br/>**Grimswick's adoption fee has been paid in full by a generous donor**<br/><br/>Our adoption fees vary, Shelter Dogs are $180, Prison Dogs are $250, Puppies are $300, and Popular Pure-Breeds are $400. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $21, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
