If there are any fencing issues, make sure that repairs are done prior to the home visit. Typically, the adoption is finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet.<br/>Out of area adopters would need to drive/fly in to meet the dogs and adopt.<br/><br/>DOB: 1/22/2024<br/>Weight: 8.7#<br/>Grimmy's adoption fee: $400<br/><br/>Grimmy was a stray in a bad part of town and saved by a local resident. His mom was never able to be caught. But one of his littermates was caught a few weeks later. That puppy was more chihuahua in appearance which is why I think that dad must've been a chihuahua. Mom was very shih tzu in appearance.<br/><br/>He is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, microchipped with lifetime registration, heartworm negative (1/28/25) and on monthly heartworm prevention, etc.<br/><br/>Grimmy is a good, happy little man. Sweet and kissie. He has a cute little underbite and scruffy long hair that doesn't require regular grooming. When he is happy and wants attention, he sits and "waves" his arms in the air. He is great in the little dog foster pack and gets along with everyone and has a good time playing with his other small doggie friends. Ideally, he would have another well-tempered small dog to play with in his new home. He needs a home with a securely fenced backyard to run around and go potty. He's not currently leash trained.<br/>He's great in the car and is crate trained. For the most part, he is "house trained". But we rarely specify that a dog is house trained as there is always an adjustment period and adopters should anticipate some training required in getting a dog adjusted to their new home and routine.
