Like so many good dogs caught in an overwhelmed system, she was at risk of euthanasia simply because there wasn't enough space. Despite her sweet personality and eager heart, her future was uncertain.<br/><br/>But Gretchen wasn't ready to give up.<br/><br/>With help from rescue advocates and transport volunteers, she climbed aboard a freedom ride headed north toward a new beginning. Mile by mile, she left behind the fear and stress of the shelter and made her way to Ohio where Coming Back Home Rescue promised her something every dog deserves:<br/><br/>A chance.<br/><br/>And Gretchen has embraced that chance with her whole heart.<br/><br/>Shes playful, intelligent, and incredibly eager to please. Shes dog-friendly, kid-friendly, housebroken, and settles beautifully in a crate without separation anxiety.
