Like so many good dogs caught in an overwhelmed system, she was at risk of euthanasia simply because there wasn't enough space. Despite her sweet personality and eager heart, her future was uncertain.<br/><br/>But Gretchen wasn't ready to give up.<br/><br/>With help from rescue advocates and transport volunteers, she climbed aboard a freedom ride headed north toward a new beginning. Mile by mile, she left behind the fear and stress of the shelter and made her way to Ohio where Coming Back Home Rescue promised her something every dog deserves:<br/><br/>A chance.<br/><br/>And Gretchen has embraced that chance with her whole heart.<br/><br/>Shes playful, intelligent, and incredibly eager to please. Coming Back Home Rescue's Adoption Policy
We start with an adoption application and then move on to schedule a Happy Visit to meet their pet of interest. If everything goes well they sign an adoption agreement, and pay an adoption donation before going home with their pets. We check in on a 3(day)-3(week)-3(months) basis to help ensure they are having success in introducing their new pet into their home.
