Greta's Story

Greta came into rescue after being seized by animal control from a cruelty case. At that time, she weighed only 26 pounds and was suffering extensive hair loss due to malnutrition. She is still gaining weight (up to almost 40lbs now!) and growing her hair back but neither of these factors keep her from being a sweet, loving dog. Greta is a big ray of sunshine in a little package, always eager for a snuggle or just to follow her person around. She loves to bask in the backyard and laze on the couch and is always ready to greet you with a smile and a big tail wag. While she will continue to need time and patience to adjust to life in the world, her sweet disposition makes it a privilege to provide her a stable and loving home.

Greta is good with other dogs and kids, potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and sleeps in her crate through the night. Despite her history she has no issues with food or resource guarding. She is a quiet dog and so very deserving of a good home where she will be safe and well cared for. Humans failed her for the first three years of her life: let’s ensure we do right by her for the rest of it.

---
To apply to adopt, please follow the steps for adoption on HalfwayThereRescue.com/Adoption-Process and apply directly here: https://fs26.formsite.com/htrnp/a2k3lsooud/index.html
