🐾 Meet Greta 🐾<br/><br/>Greta is an adorable Shih Tzu estimated to be around 1 year old and weighing about 12 pounds. She came to us from a large backyard breeder seizure case where 74 dogs were rescued. Despite her rough start, Greta is a sweet little dog who is ready to learn what life in a loving home is all about.<br/><br/>Because Greta did not receive proper socialization as a puppy, she may take a little time to warm up to new people and environments. Once she begins to feel comfortable, her puppy energy and playful personality start to shine through! With patience, consistency, and love, Greta has so much potential to blossom into an amazing companion.<br/><br/>Greta lived with many other dogs prior to coming into rescue and does well with other dogs. She has not been tested with cats. Because she can be nervous while adjusting to new environments, we require that she go to a home with children 12 years or older to ensure everyone can interact safely and respectfully while she builds confidence.<br/><br/>Greta is spayed, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.<br/><br/>When she arrived, Greta tested positive for hookworms, whipworms, and giardia. She has already completed two rounds of treatment with Drontal and Panacur, and our veterinarian recommends a third preventative treatment in June 2026.
