Greer's Story
Pretty. Brilliant. Weirdly Good at Sharing.

Greer was born May 9, weighs about 14 pounds, and has somehow already figured out several things that grown adults are still working on: how to make friends, how to share, and how to read a room.

She is SMART smart. Eager to please, quick to learn, and always paying attention like there may be a pop quiz later and she intends to embarrass the rest of the class.

And LOOK at her. Greer has this gorgeous grey-blue, speckled coat that makes her look like somebody ordered a designer dog without first checking whether designer dogs were an actual thing. We don't know exactly what went into making her, but whatever happened back there in the family tree worked out just fine.

Her favorite activity is romping around the yard with the other dogs. She’ll find herself a toy, pick it up, and start prancing around with it like she just won it at the county fair.

But here’s where Greer gets us. If another pup comes over wanting to play, she’ll happily give up the toy because having a friend is apparently better than having stuff. Ma’am. You are four months old. Some people don't learn that until their second divorce.

Greer absolutely LOVES other dogs, including the big ones. She has approximately zero concern that they outweigh her and will happily walk right up like, “Hey. You look enormous. Wanna play?” She would LOVE having a pup sibling in her new home — especially one who could show her the ropes and help this smart little girl continue learning how the whole family-dog business works.

And when the yard closes for business?
Greer clocks into her second job: Professional Cuddle Bug. This girl LOVES affection. She wants to be close to her people, wants the pets, wants the snuggles, wants to know what everybody is doing and would strongly prefer that at least part of it involve loving on Greer.

She has that wonderful puppy combination of playful outside, snuggly inside. Go romp. Make some questionable decisions with a stick. Come inside. Collapse on human. Balance.

We expect Greer to stay under about 50 pounds full grown, although her current 14 -pound self appears to believe she is already qualified to hang with the big dogs.

Greer is beautiful, ridiculously loving, dog-social, eager to please and scary smart. She's the kind of puppy who makes you think you’re doing a great job raising her when there is a very real possibility she just came like that.

And whoever gets to call this little speckled girl theirs? You’re getting one heck of a dog.

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Greer is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to the perfect forever home by our rescue! We have transports departing each week!

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — soft and steady — into the very best version of themselves. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review and reach out to set-up an interview with one of our volunteers! If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com.

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
