Gravy's Story
Do you love biscuits and gravy, too?! We do!

Gravy and his brother, Biscuit, came to us through a shelter partner after they were abandoned by their owner. Neighbors stepped up to care for them and got them to safety.

Biscuit and Gravy are playful, silly boys who need to go to separate homes. Each boy would like to join a family with a large, older female dog to show them the ropes. Both boys would be good matches for adopters with children.
Note, despite their adorably matched names, we are not placing these boys together. As is common between juvenile siblings, especially of the same sex, they fight with each other. Even though backyard breeders will sell pups to whoever will buy them, people purchasing two pups from the same litter, particularly of the same sex, are setting themselves up for trouble. Those cute little balls of fluff will often grow into juveniles exhibiting littermate syndrome. Does it happen 100% of the time. No, but we get requests for training guidance and surrender from people who bought two puppies too often. It is common enough that this is a best practice among reputable rescues and breeders.

Biscuit and Gravy are thriving at the rescue and interacting with adult female Pyrs. They are playful, happy, and mindful of their doggy manners. Each would benefit from joining a home with an adult female dog. That's ideal for their socialization and development.

To learn more about Biscuit and Gravy, please read our policies and fill out an application to schedule a meet-and-greet at carolinapyrrescue.com.
