Grant's Story

Grant is a goofy, quirky guy who is absolutely supercharged with enthusiasm! He loves attention and comes alive when his person gets playful with him. Treats are another favorite-he gets so excited he actually quivers with anticipation! Grant can become overstimulated by treats, attention, and play, but giving him time to explore and move around helps him settle. In a fenced yard, he enjoys walking right alongside you and soaking up time with his people.

Leash Manners: Pulls initially, but his pulling lessens after he has been outside for a while.
Tricks: None yet-but treats are a BIG motivator for learning!
Toy Preference: People! Grant would much rather interact with you than play with toys.
More Fun Facts: Quivers with excitement for treats, loves attention and playful interaction, and enjoys walking near his person in a fenced yard. He is not believed to be housetrained at this time.
Personality Key Descriptors: Adventurous, Enthusiastic, Goofy, Quirky
Love Language: Loving Pets & Yummy Treats
Energy-o-Meter 0-15: 4/15 - His score may look low, but don't let it fool you! Grant brings plenty of enthusiasm to treats, attention, and time with his people.

Adoption includes vaccines, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, heartworm test, spay/neuter unless medically prohibited. The adoption fee is $35.

Want to meet me? Call/text 864-467-3985 to set up a one-on-one VIP appointment or stop by Monday - Saturday 12-5.

Greenville County Animal Care's Adoption Policy
Step 1: Browse Our Pets Click on the dog and cat photos above to see animals currently available for adoption. Use the filter option to narrow down your search. Some of our pets live in foster homes and they are available for adoption, too! Step 2: Submit An Adoption Inquiry If you find a pet that you'd like to learn more about, click on their image. If you think they would be a good match and you'd like to visit them, you can either click on the "Apply for Adoption" button and submit an inquiry or you can visit them during our adoption walk-in hours Monday-Saturday 12pm-5pm. Submitting an inquiry does not place a hold or reservation on the pet but it does notify our team that you are interested and that you have more questions or want to set up a time to come visit. Step 3: Meet The Pet If the pet you're interested in is currently living at the shelter, we encourage you to come visit that pet as soon as possible. If you submitted an adoption inquiry, we will try to respond within 1-2 days. If the pet is in a foster home, we will connect you with the pet's foster family and you should get a response directly from the foster family within 1-2 days and they can set up a time for you to meet the pet. Step 4: Determine If It’s A Good Match When you meet the pet, our adoption counselors and foster families will tell you everything they know about the pet and help you to decide if it will be a good match for you, your pets, and your family. If it’s not a good match, that’s okay! We can help you find a better match – there are always lots of dogs and cats that need a home! All Animal Care adoptions include: * Spay or neuter * Microchip and Registration * PetHub ID tag * Vaccines * De-wormer * Flea Treatment * Heartworm Test (for dogs) * Heartworm Treatment for HW+ dogs * Feline Leukemia/FIV Test (for cats)
