Gracy's Story
Introducing Gracy
Gracy is an energetic 11-month-old Border Collie. If you lead an active lifestyle and are ready to invest time in training a young dog with puppy manners, she could be a great match for you.

Gracy is very intelligent – at the top end of the Border Collie standard. She learns new tricks quickly and remembers them well. She will need plenty of enrichment, such as Fast CAT, agility, or another job, to channel her energy and intelligence in positive ways. Without that direction, those same traits are a challenge for the casual dog owner.

She is fast and loves to run laps around the yard for fun, so a fenced yard is important. She wants to play with every dog she sees and would likely do best in a home with another dog to help burn off some of her energy.
Gracy does well with cats, but she is likely to chase if they run, and her bouncy nature may not suit every cat. She seems fine around horses, though we cannot guarantee she would not run along a fence line that separates them. She is not recommended for homes with free-range poultry, but she appears to do well around caged birds.

A few more details about Miss Gracy:
• Crate trained and house trained
• Rides well in the car
• Has a decent recall
• Respects fences
• Needs leash training

Gracy weighs 40 pounds and was born on June 19, 2025. She is microchipped, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She is being fostered in Shelton, Washington, and her adoption fee is $400.
