At 5 years old, she has a calm and thoughtful demeanor, preferring the quiet comforts of a cozy dog bed and the companionship of other dogs over the hustle and bustle of busy life. She’s not the type to rush into things — Gracie takes her time to warm up, but once she trusts you, her subtle affection and quiet presence are a true gift.<br/><br/>Gracie is still building confidence around people. She may not seek out affection often, but she allows slow and gentle pets and is learning that being loved feels pretty good. Loud, fast-moving children may be overwhelming for her, so she would do best in an adult-only or quiet home.<br/><br/>Gracie is crate-trained and sleeps peacefully at night in a room with the resident dogs. She’s doing well with potty training as long as she's kept on a consistent 2–3 hour schedule. While she is still getting comfortable with her harness and isn’t leash-trained yet, she’s making slow progress and will need a patient adopter to continue this work.<br/><br/>Gracie doesn’t jump on furniture but has shown curiosity about the couch. She prefers to nap in dog beds, chew on toys by herself, and quietly explore the backyard with her dog buddies. She’s clever too — she once even figured out how to open her crate door with her nose!<br/><br/>Gracie may not be the kind of dog who runs to greet you at the door, but if you’re someone who finds beauty in watching a shy dog learn to trust, she could be the one for you. With another pup to lead the way, a consistent routine, and plenty of gentle encouragement, Gracie will continue to blossom into the dog she’s meant to be.<br/><br/>Gracie is up-to-date on all medical, spayed, has had a dental and is microchipped.
