Gracie's Story
**Three years.**

That's how long Gracie has been waiting.

She came to our rescue as a puppy, and somehow she's still here. While countless other dogs have found families, Gracie has quietly watched them leave, always hoping she'd be next.

Gracie is 3 years old, about 60 pounds of love, loyalty, and just the right amount of goofiness. She loves squeaky toys, playing fetch, cuddling after a long day, and spending time with her people. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, doesn't mind cats, has lived with children, and is both crate and house trained.

Now...we should probably mention one tiny flaw.

When Gracie gets excited and barks at new people...she sometimes lets out a fart at the exact same time. It's definitely not the first impression she'd choose, but we think it's part of her charm. Once she realizes you're a friend, she's all tail wags, kisses, and cuddles.

The truth is, Gracie is often overlooked simply because she's a big black dog. But anyone willing to look past that (and the occasional surprise toot) will gain an incredible best friend.

She doesn't need a perfect home. She just needs **her** home.

If you've been thinking about adding a dog to your family, please take a chance on the one everyone else keeps scrolling past.

Apply to adopt Gracie at **[www.hhfrescue.org](http://www.hhfrescue.org)**

Please share this post. Her family may be just one share away.
