Gracie's Story

Meet Gracie!

Technically a senior but in her heart and daily outlook Gracie is still a puppy! This sweet 11 year old girl was adopted from us when she was 9. Unfortunately life changed a lot for her adopter and she was recently returned to us.

Sweet Gracie should be the ambassador of pit-mix dogs! She is always smiling, tail wagging and full of curiosity. She’s easy going and highly motivated by food as well as human affection. She will happily lay around the house OR accompany you to check out the neighborhood. Gracie is a terrific partner for errands - she LOVES to ride in the car!

This chonky girl has spent the summer swimming and sniffing EVERYTHING around Lake Union. The Lab in her loves to swim but the pittie parts require a flotation swim vest! She retrieves balls, sticks and the occasional log but you’ll have to persuade her to give them up once she comes to shore. Gracie is always ready to give and receive attention - especially if belly rubs are offered. And she is soooooo soft!

She is ok meeting other dogs on the leash but wants to have your home to herself where she can soak up all the love. We prefer to see her in a home without young kids as her body is starting to get some aches and pains. A home with a backyard would be magnificent. Her foster lives on a houseboat/barge and she gets plenty of fun outside time.

Gracie does have a couple of health issues now; some arthritis that requires daily medication (not very expensive) and she has some spondylosis (stiffness) in her spine - but that doesn’t slow her enjoyment of life or her ability to love you.

She will fill your home with sunshine on a rainy day!

Gracie is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, her adoption fee is $195.

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495. Thank you for stepping up to save a life!

To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
