GRACIE's Story
We take the time to post pertinent information about our dogs and that information can be found below. Our dogs are fostered in homes so we know them well. If it appears you would be interested in one of our dogs and you fit the requirements for that dog, please go to our website - www.enchantmutts.org and complete an application. The application form is found under Adoptable Dogs - Adoption Process at www.enchantmutts.org. When the application is complete - you can submit it to info@enchantmutts.org. We will contact you when the application has been reviewed. Thank you.

Introducing GRACIE… this lovely girl is about as good as they get!

GRACIE is a red tri Australian Shepherd who is about 8 years old, she was left unclaimed at a small rural shelter and we were lucky enough to take her in. Though looking like a wounded ball of matted fur – we could see the sweetness and gentleness in her eyes and we were all over that. We cannot figure out who would not reclaim this jewel; their loss – our gain and truly a very lucky adopters gain! Perhaps they choose not to claim because our girl has cataracts – she is almost blind in her left eye but has sight in her right eye. She can still chase that tennis ball down like no one’s business.

Though GRACIE was not in the best condition; covered with ticks, matted, stinky, limping and tired (we think she had a fairly hard life) – she is now well on her way to healthiness and happiness. We have given her the thrice over and the difference in her movement and happiness is night and day from her arrival. Watching her grow in so many ways these past few weeks has been a pleasure.

GRACIE is beautiful and all about happiness and JOY and truly a delight – she is incredibly sweet, gets along with everyone, is always ready to help out, loves to play with all the other dogs in her foster home – even the crazy puppy with the shark teeth, loves to ride in the car, going for walks, exploring, going on adventures, adores her tennis balls and will happily play fetch with you as long as you can! GRACIE does everything you ask and then some – always gives 110%. She is great with everything!

There will probably come a day that GRACIE will lose the sight in her left eye, but that day is not today and we have great hopes that with good care and health it won’t be soon and she will have plenty of time to acclimate to her forever home. She has an appointment with the eye specialist so we shall get a good projection at that time.

GRACIE is spayed, UTD on vaccinations, Microchipped, heartworm negative, on preventative and established on an affordable maintenance program which we expect her adopters to keep her on. She is house trained, knows a doggie door, crate trained - thou not necessary and an all around BESTEST Girl!! Cats are unknown and she would probably adore kids over the age of 7. We would like her to have another canine companion in her forever home.

If you are looking for that one in a million wavy haired red head and you think you can win at arm wrestling (best two out of three!) with her foster – complete an application and submit it to info@enchantmutts.org. Our adoption process (and application) is at the top of this page at the Adoption Process button.

Sorry - GRACIE WILL NOT be adopted out of the state of New Mexico.
