Gracie's Story

PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.

Meet Gracie! Gracie is approximately 5 years old, 65 lbs currently and she may have some German Shepherd in her mix! In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, crate training and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids and other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats.

Gracie currently takes thyroid meds and has a heart murmur, but it doesn't impact her quality of life!

Her foster says, "Gracie is one of the best fosters that I’ve had in the 3 yrs I’ve been fostering. She loves everyone she comes in contact with. She will sit, shake and catch snacks. She has her rubber chicken that she loves playing with. She will put it in her mouth while walking around making it squawk until someone will play with her. She likes to be queen sitting on the sofa with you. She goes to the door when she has to potty. My husband has been sick (flu) and she has been laying on the floor beside him. Sometimes she would put her head on his lap. Like saying”I’m sorry your sick daddy”. She has been checking on him while he’s been sleeping. She has a great heart."

She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.

-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.
-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.
- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com
