Meet Gracie! An adorable 8 year old Chihuahua mix. Gracie weighs 10lbs and is an absolute doll! <br/>Gracie was surrendered with two of her family members after their previous family could no longer care for them. When Gracie entered rescue it was very apparent she needed immediate dental care. Gracie lost 17 teeth in one day! Our girl is now on the mend and eating well and is pain free. Gracie is very sweet and gets along great with kids and other dogs. She is docile and quiet most days and loves to lounge around. Barking Wishes Senior Pet Rescue and Sanctuary's Adoption Policy

Applications are reviewed by a director and foster, vet checks are done, home check or virtual home check done, if home is a rental we contact landlords, in depth telephone interview is conducted and a meet and greet with pet is set up. If the adopter advances through all stages of the application process, a director will approve the application and the animal will be transferred to the new adoptive family. The adopter is given a 72 hour window to allow them to return the pet for any reason whatsoever in exchange for a full refund or more suitable pet. Our contract states that after that 72 hour window, we will always take our dogs back into the rescue for any reason and they aren’t to be taken to a shelter or re-homed
