GRACIE's Story

PLEASE READ THIS BIO COMPLETELY, and if interested, DO NOT USE THE PETFINDER LINK, BUT INSTEAD...inquire by email (with the required information below) to:

aboutrescuedogs@aol.com

if you meet the qualifications we are requiring for this dog.

Cute as a button GRACIE is a 4 year old, 5 pound Yorkie, who is a very sweet, shy little girl who loves getting attention and affection from her person. She lived with other dogs in her previous home (who were all Yorkies) and does very well with the dogs in her temporary foster home that are also small dogs. She is intimidated by larger dogs so she needs a home with only small dogs. GRACIE will not be placed with small children due to her small size.

GRACIE is on a kidney prescription diet. We have found she eats Just Food for Dogs Renal very well. She also receives a daily inexpensive prescription of Enalapril for her kidney function. We will provide her vet records if a prospective adopter would like to share those records and speak with their vet about her history prior to adoption.

GRACIE is not a fan of going outside in this winter weather and will use potty pads inside during inclement weather. A new owner who is home during the day or works from home would be useful to help her with her housetraining. There can be a period of adjustment whenever going into a new home.

Since coming into rescue, GRACIE has received the following vet care: she was spayed and had her blood panel checked, had several urinalysis performed, had a dental cleaning, had her distemper combination with lepto and booster, bordetella, and rabies vaccinations, had a fecal check and was microchipped. She is heartworm negative and on heartworm/flea preventative.

If you meet the above requirements and think your home is the one for GRACIE, the first step is to contact us by email (NOT using the Petfinder link as we have difficulty receiving those inquiries) so send the email to:

aboutrescuedogs@aol.com

AND tell us about your family situation and explain why you think your home would be a good match for GRACIE. Also please include your name, address, and phone number in the email. We will also require the name and phone number of your vet clinic as a reference so phone ahead and advise them we will be calling.

If GRACIE appears online as adoptable, she is still available.

GRACIE will be shown at a meet and greet after approved application completion. Her adoption fee is $500 and includes (all new) collar, leash, harness, toys, crate, and food.

Thanks for wanting to rescue!
