GRACELYNN's Story
GRACELYNN

www.youluckydogrescue.org - Adoption Application can be found on this website.

*House-trained
*Crate-trained
*Quiet, sweet, couch potato; enjoys dogs and people

Gracelynn is estimated to be 4 years old and is 65 lbs.

Beautiful Gracelynn (Gracie) has been with her foster family since June 4, 2026, after being rescued the day before her deadline by You Lucky Dog Rescue from Hall County Animal Control. This sweet girl had been brought into the shelter with two other black dogs and with ten puppies. It was unclear if they were Gracies puppies, but it was clear that Gracie had been a mother multiple times before.

Gracie is a happy and sweet girl who prefers a quiet home with comfortable dog beds (and a couch if you are willing). She is surrounded by five dogs in her foster home (males and females) but she mostly keeps to herself. She will happily go on morning coffee runs in the car and return to her daily routine of relaxing on her dog bed while her foster dad works. She will occasionally chew a bone, however she is low energy and does not engage in play with the other dogs. She knows the command place and will rest quietly on a dog bed, in her crate, or on a couch. She is not destructive of any bedding and can be left in a crate while her foster parents are out of the house.

Gracie is most content with a routine, including consistent mealtimes and sitting for bedtime treats. She has not had any accidents in the house, but she does prefer to be leash-walked for pee and poop breaks rather than be let out loose in the fenced-in yard. She likes to return to a comfortable spot to rest inside following her potty breaks and is startled by thunder and rain, likely due to being left outside in her previous years. She is fine in the house on a bed or in her crate during storms.

Gracie would do best in a home with older children due to her shyness and desire to be in a quiet spot in her foster familys home. She doesnt mind other dogs at all, but she is not interested in playing or sharing beds with them. Shes an independent girl who loves her people and wants to be as near to them as possible. She deserves someone to cherish her and give her time to express how grateful she is for her second chance at love!

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. You can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
