Grace's Story

We do NOT ship our adoptable dogs! Approved adopters MUST meet the dog before beginning a trial placement!

Grace is a petite little bi-black Sheltie girl at under 20 pounds whose owner found a dog she liked better than Grace. Lower maintenance than Grace.
Grace wore a harness and pulled like a sled dog on intake. She has improved greatly! She enjoys walks and takes her time to do her business on leash. She likes having her nose to the ground while on a stroll, as well.
She is a great passenger in the car but MUST be contained. She will try to get into the driver's lap and that isnt safe for anyone! So in a crate is best for safety reasons while in an automobile.
She can be a grumpy gal! She doesn't care for other dogs. She prefers to be the only dog. She will co-exist with them but she has only actually played with one other dog. She is person focused and that person needs to be a firm leader. She can be a fearful gal in unfamiliar situations and a confident person at the other end of that leash to guide her through good decisions will be necessary.
Grace loves cuddling once she settles in. She loves petting and being brushed once you've earned her trust.

Please apply to adopt Grace at www.sheltierescue.org
