Gorilla's Story

Meet Gorilla (and yes, he really came with that name). At just 1 year old and 22 pounds, this larger than life little guy has a personality that fills every room he walks into. He is bouncy, goofy, and endlessly friendly, the kind of dog who seems to believe that everyone he meets is already his best friend.

We were told Gorilla is a French Bulldog and Poodle mix, and we can’t say we disagree. He has that sturdy, stocky build paired with a playful, energetic spirit that keeps things interesting. He is always ready for fun, whether that means zooming around, soaking up attention, or just doing something that makes you laugh without even trying.

Gorilla would be happiest with an active family that is ready to embrace his enthusiasm for life. He is not a sit on the sidelines kind of dog. He wants to be part of the action, part of the fun, and most importantly, part of your everyday life.

If you are looking for a dog who will keep you smiling, keep you laughing, and make sure there is never a dull moment, Gorilla might just be your perfect match.

*Reminder* We are currently facilitating adoptions through appointment only. If you arrive at the shelter without an appointment to meet a dog, we may not be able to assist you.

Please call the shelter (516-869-6311) during working hours (Mon. to Fri. 9AM-4PM; Sat. 10AM-4PM) for more information about this dog, the adoption process at the shelter, and to confirm availability.
