Gorgeous's Story
Meet Gorgeous!!! We named her to boost her self esteem!!! When we first found her, she was extremely malnourished. She was missing hair due to poor nutrition. You could tell she had puppies at some point in her life. In addition, after getting her examined, our vet felt like she must have been hit by a vehicle at least twice because she had a new injury to one of her legs and an old injury to the other one. This poor gal!!!! She had a rough start at life but BARK got her all fixed up. She had to have an FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy)surgery on one of her legs. An FHO, is a surgical procedure that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a damaged hip by removing the head and neck of the femur. She made a full recovery from this surgery. Immediately after surgery and during her two months of rehab, this dog rocked out. She definitely deserved the 2025 Bravery Award.

Now that you know a little bit about her back history, let's talk about her now. Gorgeous is a spayed 2.5 year old Shepherd mix. She is stunning now that her hair is healthy and she has gained weight. She is full figured at 70 pounds. She also has two different colored eyes which makes her so unique.

Gorgeous is fun loving, great on a leash, likes MOST other dogs unless they are bossy to her, and loves toys!!!! She would be great with a family that enjoys traveling or being couch potatoes and going for a daily stroll. She is easy to love but also enjoys a little bit of her own independence. I think this goes back to her being on her own for her first two years of life. Gorgeous does know how to climb a fence so she needs to be adopted to a family who has a fully wooden fence! She tends to escape out of her play yard at BARK when she gets bored and she is ready to go inside.

If you think your family has the time and love to give Gorgeous, please email us at LongJ1003@aol.com. She deserves the best life!!!!!!!
