Gordon's Story

Meet Gordon!

Gordy came to us during one of the hardest moments of his life. His family, facing heartbreaking circumstances, was told he would be euthanized if surrendered to a local shelter. Desperate to save him, they reached out to rescues — and we said yes.

And we are so glad we did.

Gordy is young, happy, and full of love. He didn’t deserve to suffer — and despite everything, his gentle heart is still wide open.

He’s a sweet, slightly shy boy who has lived peacefully with three small dogs and truly enjoys the company of other pups (he has a soft spot for Chihuahuas!). He’s crate trained, potty trained, and wonderfully well-mannered — the kind of dog who quietly fits into your routine and your heart.

Right now, Gordy needs a little extra care. He’s battling severe allergies, a skin infection, and a serious ear infection — one of the toughest we’ve seen. We’re doing everything we can: medicated baths, vet visits, treatment plans, and lots of TLC. Even through discomfort, Gordy remains patient and kind — he even gave his vet a kiss at his very first appointment.

Currently, Gordy is staying at a boarding facility. He is safe — but this isn’t where healing truly happens. He needs a foster home where he can rest on soft bedding, feel warmth, and experience stability. A home environment will help his body recover and allow his sensitive spirit to feel secure again.

Underneath it all is an incredibly loving, loyal, and smart dog who is just waiting to bloom.

Gordy is proof that with patience, love, and care, the very best in a dog shines through.

If you can foster or adopt, you won’t just be helping a dog — you’ll be changing a life.

Please familiarize yourself with our Adoption Process: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-process/

If interested to schedule an Appointment to meet, please fill out Adoption application: https://angelsfurryfriends.org/adoption-application-dogs/

We are a small, all Volunteer Foster Based Rescue Group, we do not have a Shelter Location. Angel's Furry Friends's Adoption Policy
Thank you for you interest in our Animals. Adopting a Dog or Cat means a lot to the animal, that would otherwise have nothing. All of our animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, administered deworming medication and flea preventative. We do our best to have them spayed/neutered. In case if that was not possible for us, the Adopting agreement is contingent on the new owner completing Spay/Neuter the animal. Attending Dog Training with New dog is highly recommended. The rescued animals often times did not have a chance to develop obedience and proper behavior, as they were not exposed to formal training. It is highly recommended to attend basic training, it would benefit the new owner and their new dog relationship. If for some reason, after adoption, there is an issue, where the new animal is a match for you or your family: please inform us right away, we will take our animal back.
