Gordon's Story

Gordon is a distinguished gentleman seeking a family to dote on him in his retirement years. His previous guardian could no longer keep him and returned him to Gigi's. They report that Gordon is social with people and enjoyed having guests in the home. He did well meeting new dogs and children. Gordon does okay in the car but doesn't enjoy car rides. He is crate trained and walks nicely on leash. Since arriving back at Gigi's, Gordon has been trying to figure out how to show people he's a good boy. He initially was stoic and hesitant to greet new dogs, however he's turned a new leaf and is showing his silly side, soliciting affection and partaking in play groups- after appropriate introductions. He does know Sit and enjoys leaning in for affection. We don't doubt this boy will become a giant mushball with his new family!

Gordon appears to be a Cattle Dog mix, however without a DNA test we cannot guarantee his breed. He is approximately 7 years young and currently weighs 60, although he is overweight and needs to lose a few pounds.

Gordon has received his full-service vet care, vaccines, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and is neutered. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi’s Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours — together we’re improving the lives of shelter dogs™.

Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw!
