Hello- my name is Gorda. I was surrendered to animal services after my owners couldn't take care of me anymore. I am 6 years old, last weighed in at 110 lbs and a Great Dane mix- possibly with American Bulldog (best guess). I am a bit on the shy side, but a sweet, gentle girl. It takes me a couple of minutes to warm up to new people, then I love leaning up against you and getting pets! I walk well on leash and have be non-reactive to other dogs I have met. My $250 adoption fee includes vet exam, up to date vaccines, spay, deworming and preventatives while in our care, heartworm test (negative) and microchip. 1) Submit application 2) Application is reviewed for completeness and assigned to an adoption coordinator 3) Adoption coordinator verifies critical information on the application, contacts references and ensures that the requested animal is a good fit for the family 4) Adoption coordinator, in conjunction with rescue management, approves or denies application 5) Upon notification of approval, an adoption coordinator works with foster and adopter to set up an adoption appointment to bring your new family member home! We strive to work through adoption applications as soon as we can. We are 100% volunteer-based so it can take a day or two to complete the review. This also depends on the response time of your references. Should you change your mind or adopt a different animal after submission, please inform us so we do not spend unnecessary time on your application.
