And just look at him-those bright eyes, big smile, and handsome brindle coat say it all.

Goose has already proven that with love and patience, he can bloom. Now he's ready to do the same in a forever home.

---

Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Goose is an energetic and playful dog who has shown improvement with the help of staff and volunteers. He tends to pull on the leash when eager to reach certain objects or scents but walks politely most of the time, frequently checking in.

During husbandry handling, Goose became excited, he lightly jumped on me and gently gripped my arm in a request that I don't stop. He still shows some sensitivity with his tail, leading to compulsive chasing, but I could easily redirect him. He knows the cues "sit," "come," and "wait," and although I had to guide him into the "down" position with a treat, it was easy. His stability around objects has improved, though he remains hesitant with open umbrellas.

In play, Goose has learned to self-regulate and shows more clear warning signs when he's becoming overly excited. While he displayed some possessive behavior with toys, he allowed me to pet him and remove his food dish without issue.

When interacting with someone he's less familiar with, he initially jumped on her lightly but quickly returned to appropriate behavior. His interaction with another dog has improved, exhibiting curiosity and attempts to initiate play. Goose managed to stay composed even when play wasn't reciprocated.

---

For more resources to help with any step of your adoption journey go to: https://go.petadoptiongateway.com/LycomingDT
